This home can bring a tear to anyone with a design eye. The location of the house, the design, the furniture, the all around vibe. So incredibly perfect. As someone who frequents Rhode Island, seeing a home like this just makes my heart warm. Check out more photos on Airows.

Singer Merritt 2404
Can't wait for all of the possibilities with this baby! Picked her up for $12.99 from Thrift Town! I have had so many projects lined up waiting for a sewing machine. Cola is getting a new bed, curtains are getting done, and I'm going to try my hand at making pillows!

New Additions

I recently made this sweet little stand for my jewelry and perfume in my bedroom. It was just about the quickest and easiest DIY project I've done so far! I had some scrap oak plywood hanging around from when we made our desk and coffee table and decided to use it on this. I was inspired to do this from from a photo I saw on Pinterest that was originally on Design Sponge (Insert heart eyes here!) You can put this guy just about anywhere. Multi purpose is the best.
I decided to paint the outer layer white because since the wood is ply, it won't hold or even look presentable with stain. You can get around this by using pocket holes to secure a wood layer over this, or just painting over it. I wasn't too concerned because it is just in our bedroom and I LOVE the combination of white and dark stained wood. Since I had already had the wood and the white paint, I spent about $12 in total for the shelf hinges and screws.
As far as the old frame goes, it was a yard sale find for a buck! It was already painted gold, too! I just screwed in some hooks that can be found at Home Depot for $2 and it became a necklace and watch display.

Recent Thrift Finds
Honestly, It has felt as if I have hit the jackpot lately as far as thrifting goes. Lots of items I have waited out for. My patience has paid off!
Kitchen/Bar Cart- Found in Georgetown, Texas. $37
I would have been an idiot for not pulling the trigger on it, especially with how long I've been wanting one! Even has the power strip on the second level! Crazy thing, I wanted this so bad, decided I'd think on it and when I went next door, the same one was going for $128.
Vintage GM Clock- Found in Austin, Texas at Goodwill. $15
This guy was in the auction goodwill's host on Saturdays. I put a silent bid on it, and just crossed my fingers. Every shop we went into for the rest of the day, I was determined to get an affordable vintage clock. Saw so many I liked at the Austin Antique Mall, but for outrageous prices (to be expected). Got a call as we were leaving the AAM that I had won the bid!
Five Foot Ladder- Craigslist $10
I know this isn't exactly a thrift find, but I've been wanting an old wooden ladder for a few years now. My plan is to put slabs of wood to make it a shelf, whether it be for books or plants. Definitely going to switch it up. I love it even more with the paint on it.
Leather Chair- Goodwill $15 Moss Velvet Pillow- Room Service Vintage $7
I am ALWAYS on the hunt for a good chair. I have entirely too many at this point, but I just love the hunt. When I saw this little guy, I looked exactly like that heart eyes emoticon. Isn't it precious? It's in incredible condition. I felt as if I were stealing. The pillow is my favorite color ever. So when I saw how cheap it was, plus 20% off, I just had to get my new chair a friend.
